Clubs and Sporting

Band

Our institution has a band with 35 elementary students and 12 secondary students directed by Jorge Duarte, a nationally known musician.

The instruments they play are: clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, sax and percussion.

They rehearse 2 times a week, within the class schedule.

They have presentations of cultural activities, both of them on and off campus. They also perform an annual concert program during Civic Week.

 

 

 

Choir

The choir consists of 18 elementary students. It’s directed by Professor Judith Herrera.

They practice once a week, within school hours.

Science Fair

The Science Fair called "Festival of Science." This activity promotes the development of skills and abilities through the experience of experimental inquiry and investigation processes on issues or topics that meet your needs and interests, community or social.

The topics for discussion and research may be related to the following areas:

  • Biology (Botany, Microbiology and Zoology)
  • Environmental Sciences (Studies of care and pollution of air, water or land, and control over resources and ecology)
  • Computer Science (Robotics)
  • Earth Science and Space
  • Physics (Effects of energy in matter)
  • Engineering and Technology (Scientific principles and practical uses)
  • Chemistry (Studies of the nature and composition of matter and the laws that govern it)
  • Health and Medicine (Studies of disease and health of humans and animals)

Speaking

The speech contest is organized every year in order to provide an opportunity for students to express their point of view about social, environmental and cultural issues. They will be able to build skills as speakers and exhibitors present.

Missionary Group

Eissionary Group is a group of primary and secondary school students which aims to promote the values of empathy, solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the needy.

They promote activities to benefit communities or low-income groups and they are responsible for creating the link with the group representatives TELETON, the recycling program in addition to the Environment Committee.

Sport groups

Our institution recognizes the importance of sports for our students, so we have sports teams in Volleyball, Soccer, Cheerleading, Taekwondo, swimming and chess for different groups of our student population.

Cultural clubs and sporting

Sporting and cultural clubs were created with the aim of strengthening the comprehensive education offered to students to be able to join a club to go according to their interests and needs. These clubs are scheduled from 2:30 to 4:00 and are taught by different professionals according to their specialty. This year the following clubs are offered: Swimming, Football, Taekwondo, Cheerleading, Cooking, Chess, Volleyball and Basketball.
