Special Projects
New Hope Bilingual School, has spent several years working on projects of great academic advancement, such as:
MATEM: Its an agreement we have with the UNA, so that our students are prepared in the field of mathematics and can have the opportunity to get a certificate, certifying them as winners of Math 125 that is taught in college, having those credits won for their college years.
OLCOMA: Participation of students in Mathematics Olympics organized by National University , obtaining good results and placing them in the first place in this Olympics, giving great prestige to our school and our students.
OLQUIM: Chemistry Olympics also organized by the School of Chemistry, National University, which also allows our young people to be prepared for future careers which require greater expertise in this area of science. They have shown successful outcomes, like our alumni Oscar Garcia in the Chemistry Olympics which were held in Cuba in 2009, where he achieved a bronze medal with his participation.
ESL: It’s a program to level our students in English, which was designed to strengthen the foundations of young new comers who need this academic support. This involves providing English subjects in an integrated system as a single subject. This is the main idea to achieve a leveling system and adapting it to our institution.
Online Tutoring Services: We offer our students the opportunity to ask questions during exam periods, from their homes with the help of their class teachers, offering online tutoring in different subjects of English, such as Science, Social Studies, Literature and Grammar and others for all different levels.
Butterfly Garden: With the idea that our school community has the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful experience, and that our students participate in the development of a very vulnerable and special specie, we have a butterfly garden which is located in the western part of the campus. It has to 24m square of land with a metal infrastructure around, water supply, feeders, trails, and protected with mesh and space for incubation.
For the good of the butterflies we use plants like heliconia, pore manicillo, macaderio, lantana, ginger, bananas, as well as fruit feeders.
